Marketing excellence at Linwoods

Linwoods Foods has been awarded a top marketing accolade at the tenth annual Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Awards at the Europa Hotel, Belfast.

The Armagh company won the prestigious Professional Excellence Award for Best Marketing Plan for the Linwoods Healthy Super Foods range, which is sold across Ireland, the UK, Spain and Holland and has seen sales rise 70 per cent through innovative, consumer-led product development and marketing.

Commenting, Linwoods Marketing Manager, Joanne Hayden said: “Everyone has been working so hard at Linwoods and we are extremely proud to have been chosen by the CIM for this major marketing award. Linwoods new sales and marketing department was established less than two years ago (in March 2007) and that makes our success even more impressive. Our corporate objective was to drive forward the business following expansion and our figures show that we have exceeded all expectations across the three strands of our portfolio – dairy, bakery and health foods. The Linwoods Superfoods range of seeds and berries in particular has shown a 70 per cent increase in sales year-on-year which is a direct result of our increased marketing investment and a clear strategic marketing plan.”
