Coca-Cola’s Bottlers (Ulster) Ltd has been recognised as the UK’s most responsible company by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations at its recent UK Excellence Awards in London.
The award was for CCBU’s ‘Designated Driver’ campaign, activated during the 2007 Christmas period, which supported local drivers by giving them up to three free soft drinks in pubs and clubs throughout Northern Ireland. The campaign, which was run in partnership with, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), the Department of Environment (DoE) and 230 pubs and clubs, beat off stiff opposition from companies throughout the UK for the award. The campaign will run again this year in conjunction with the DoE and PSNI.
