One of the most iconic snack brands of the 80s has re-launched and is back on Northern Ireland¹s supermarket shelves, a move that is set to bag someone in Northern Ireland a crisp £1,000 cash! The famous Phileas Fogg brand of crisps and snacks was first introduced in 1982 and is renowned for its range of flavours inspired by exotic countries all over the world, not to mention Ireland, which contributes an Irish Cheddar with Onion Chutney flavoured pack.
To celebrate its re-launch, Phileas Fogg has embarked on a provincewide photographic competition entitled’Around the World in 80 Days’, which will see one lucky win £1,000 in cash. The competition will run for 80 days until 15 June and requires entrants to take a photograph of themselves with a Phileas Fogg packet while holidaying in any corner of the world, from Ireland or India to Brazil or Mexico. The person who sends the best picture will walk away with a £1,000 cash prize, with digital cameras also up for grabs for regional winners from each county.
As part of its re-launch, the brand’s packaging has been completely redesigned and there has also been a number of health improvements made to the product. The range, which consists of crisps, tortillas, nuts and poppadoms, now contains no artificial colours, flavours or MSG and is made with 100% sunflower oil.
