Chance to highlight the heroes of the community in latest ‘Super Dad’ initiative
The first ever EUROSPAR Super Dad, Mark Reid, is pictured (centre) with his daughter Emma and Daniel Comiskey from Henderson Group, owners of the EUROSPAR brand in Northern Ireland. This is the final chance to nominate a hero dad from local communities across NI by visiting https://www.eurosparni.co.uk/competitions/win-1-000-for-your-super-dad.
They’re the heroes to those who know, love and grow up with them, and now two community supermarkets are giving kids the chance to nominate their dads as their Community Super Dad.
EUROSPAR and ViVOXTRA has launched the second year of the Super Dad initiative, which took off last year with hundreds of families nominating their own super heroes at home.
On Father’s Day 2017, County Down dad, Mark Reid was surprised by his daughter Emma with a cheque for £500 after she nominated him online to say thank you for always caring for Emma and his other daughter, Amy. After Amy passed away in 2013, Mark honoured her memory by setting up Love Amy, an organisation which helps local children and families affected by cancer through the provision of ‘smile grants’, as well as supporting local cancer research.
This year, there will be two winning Super Dads, with a prize from both EUROSPAR and ViVOXTRA totalling £1,500.
Daniel Comiskey from Henderson Group commented; “Super Dad is a really special initiative for us, as we honour those everyday heroes in our community.
“EUROSPAR and ViVOXTRA stores play a really active role in communities across Northern Ireland, so this is a chance for us to meet, greet and reward our home heroes who our staff interact with every day. We’re really looking forward to seeing the entries for this year’s competition and of course, surprising them in their local store.”
Competition closes 28 May 2018 with the winners surprised in-store soon after. Visit EUROSPAR and VIVOXTRA on Facebook for more information.
