Henderson Retail celebrates the opening of their 50th Post Office

Henderson Retail celebrated an important milestone today at the opening of their 50th in-store Post Office.

Lady Sylvia Hermon, MP for North Down was on hand to cut the ribbon to officially launch the new Moat Street Post Office located at EUROSPAR Donaghadee, at 104 Moat Street and celebrate the retailer’s impressive milestone.

Lady Hermon said: I am very pleased to be here today to officially open Henderson Retail’s 50th in-store Post Office and see first-hand the new branch. The Post Office play a vital part in the community and their services are very important to my constituents.”

Mark McCammond, Retail Director at Henderson Group, owners of the EUROSPAR brand in Northern Ireland added; “EUROSPAR is a community supermarket brand that brings every essential product and service into the heart of communities across Northern Ireland. The Post Office is a huge part of what we can deliver to local customers, and we’re very happy to open our 50th outlet here in Donaghadee.”

The new Moat Street branch is available seven days a week from 6am to 11pm and offers a wide range of services including everyday banking on behalf of the UK’s banks, online shopping collections and returns, Drop and Go, for small businesses.

Nicola Metcalfe, Post Office Corporate Manager said: “We are delighted to celebrate this milestone with Henderson Retail and EUROSPAR Donaghadee. We want to make it as easy as possible for the community to pay their bills, withdraw cash from their bank accounts, and send and collect their mail at a time and place that suits them best.”
