As the summer comes to a close, the final Hillsborough Farmers’ Market will take place on Saturday, August 31 from 10am-3pm at the picturesque setting of the Dark Walk at Hillsborough Fort.

The 2019 summer markets have been busier than ever with a record number attending the July market, at close to 4,000 visitors. At the final market of the summer season for 2019, visitors will have the opportunity to interact with producers from across Northern Ireland, learning about their produce and getting the chance to taste and purchase directly from the producer.

This month’s market will once again offer marketgoers an abundance of fresh, artisan foods including award-winning charcuterie, speciality rare-breed meats and home-grown favourites, including breads, cakes, preserves, chutneys and pickles.

Local producers attending the August Hillsborough Farmers’ Market include The Fabulous Food Factory, returning with a new and reimagined gourmet experience to the street food scene and Crumbs Vegan Bakery, which has built up quite the following for its range of vegan cakes and cookies.

Other popular artisan producers in attendance, many of whom have grown to be regulars at the annual Hillsborough Farmers’ Markets, include, Indie Fude’s artisan cheese stall, Amazin Grazin with its unique range of flavoured handmade wheaten breads and Ispini Charcuterie’s highly acclaimed charcuterie, to name but a few.
