To celebrate National Porridge Week, Flahavan’s Porridge partnered with Haptik Café in Newtownards to host an exclusive NI media and social media influencer brunch.

Alice Quirke, Brand Manager for Flahavan’s Porridge, said:

“We wanted to treat guests to a delicious weekend brunch to get them, and their followers, excited about getting back to porridge.

“From Haptik’s take on the perfect bowl of our uniquely creamy oats to an ‘Insta-oats’ competition, in which we challenged the bloggers to get creative with how they styled their Haptik porridge bowl, guests left stocked-up on oats for the winter ahead after a really enjoyable morning.

“With a focus on developing fresh and seasonal food which contributes to a healthy and balanced diet, Haptik fits perfectly with Flahavan’s as our oats are a source of wholegrain goodness – high in fibre, naturally low in sugar, salt and saturated fat, and a natural source of protein and iron.”

Jonathan McBride, Owner of Haptik Café, added:

“For us, showcasing food on Instagram is about style and substance – so we were delighted to see the guests at our special Flahavan’s brunch really embrace this challenge. Their decorations for the signature Haptik porridge bowl were both great to look at, and delicious to enjoy.

“We hope everyone who attended, along with their followers online, were inspired with new ways to enjoy their oats – and will continue to enjoy Flahavan’s both in our café and at home.”
